Penny for your thoughts

Ok, so I wont really charge your for your in put ;)

I am starting to think ahead to Christmas. I know its still really early but with the way things go around here if I don't start now I may not have any thing when the time comes.

So this year I want to borrow an idea that my friend Nikki does each year (hope you don't mind :). She makes the cutest ornaments for Christmas. Last year I was blessed with a sea horse!

I just LOVE mine!! can't wait to get it out and put it on the tree this year!

I also like the idea that the kids can't break them if one day they pull the tree over (I did that so I am just waiting for the day my kids do). Also its a gift of your time. To me that is the best part. It means you mean enough to me that I took time to sew and stuff this little creature.

So here are my ideas for this year and I would love some feed back! (so far I only know of 3 people that read my blog so I hope 2 of you agree on one, lol)

1st Owls

2nd Birds

and 3rd Whales

All 3 I believe I can handle mass producing before Christmas. I will be fabric shopping over the next few weeks (I really need to work on getting a scrap pile going for projects like this).

What one would you put on your Christmas tree?

A pictures is worth a Thousand words

And today I have quite a few :)

Life is just a little busy this week. Both kids have runny noses, and Rebecca has started teething (she is still being a great baby tho). So we are short on sleep and trying very hard just to keep up with the day to day. So we are going to let the pictures do some talking.

Hope you enjoy.

3 months

I can't believe it has been 3 months already. It seems like Rebecca has always been here. She is just a joy and such a happy baby. It could be because I am not as worried about doing everything "right" this time around so I am more relaxed, but she is the perfect little girl (in my opinion). I am focusing on doing what works for us and trying my hardest to sort through all the knowledge I have read about raising kids. Some times to much information is a hindrance not a help (as I learned with Jamie).

Anyway, as I did with Jamie (only on paper since I was not blogging back then) I wrote Rebecca a latter so she will know how she has changed our lives at only 3 months old.

Letter to Rebecca...

Something New...

I love weddings...They are just so beautiful! Our friends Marc and Chelsie got married this weekend, and James and I where blessed to be apart of it.

Marc and Chelsie are such a fun couple to hang out with. James meet Marc at work about a year ago, and became good friends instantly. For months they said they needed to get Chelsie and I together because we would be perfect friends. And they where right. We love to just hang out and laugh. It helps that the guys love gaming and the girls love kids so we always have something fun to do and talk about.

I hope our friendship keeps growing for many years, because Jamie has taken to calling them "My Marc, My Chelsie" (his is so cute!)

It was a BEAUTIFUL day for a wedding!

 Aren't they just cute together!

little momments

So one of the things we did when Jamie was born was have his hand-prints made on a ceramic tile by A blessing from above. I am so glad we took the time to capture that little moment in his life. Kids grow so fast its unreal. I felt it was important to spend the extra money on something that will last forever so that when he is bigger I can look back and see how his little hands and feet use to be.

So when we found out that little Rebecca was on her way I set aside money so I could do the same for her (can't favor on over the other you know).

I picked up hers today and was so excited I had to share them all.

Are they not precious!?

I love the mommy and daddy ones!!
They have found a home on the shelf across from our front door. The ones of their hands and feet are going to go on another wall with pictures of the kids.

I highly recommend keep sakes of any kind. The do it yourself kits at hobby lobby or other craft stores are a great way to still have the memories without the cost. I am so thankful to have the teeny tiny hand forever in ceramic.

They truly are my little blessings. Even when Rebecca is up every 2 hours all night long and Jamie won't let me have 5 minutes to myself. I love them and can hardly go a hour without them. I am still learning how to balance to kids and the house work. I just keep remind myself that they will not be little forever, and to enjoy them as much as possible. They don't care if the laundry is unfolded or that the dishes are not done. They just want mommy's time and love. So every day I try and make sure that they get some of my undivided attention.

Oh and Rebecca is now 12 weeks old! time sure does fly!
Here she is styling my Silly Spider Halloween bow.
ain't she just a cutie!
